Freeze Raw GREEN ONIONS (Scallions)
1. Wash the scallions; let dry on clean paper towels or a kitchen towel.
2. Parchment line a baking sheet.
3. Chop/slice the scallions in desired length (I chopped them into ¼ inch pieces).
4. Place the chopped/sliced scallions on the baking sheet in a single layer. Do NOT mound up or that mound will clump together like a little mountain...you don't want that.
5. Place this pan of scallions in the freezer. I do it overnight; however, having them stay in the freezer at least 3 or more hours will also work.
6. Take the scallions out of the freezer the next day and put into a glass jar. Return the jar to the freezer.
7. When you need scallions use your frozen ones. This works great!
