Katie is the bird owner that I really admire she set her sights to teaching her older and previously clipped blue and gold macaw, Mia, to free fly outside. After even more training and hard work, Katie brought Mia on her first freeflight trip in July to Las Vegas, NV to get Mia's first outdoor flights... and she didn't see progress until the last day of the trip. Having to go home, and get back to training, Katie and Mia both worked even harder now that the desensitization part was out of the way. And in late October they were at it again, this time in Moab, Utah on another flight trip, followed by the Salt Flats, UT in the same trip. Finally, Katie and Mia achieved their dreams! I hope this video inspires others out there to never give up, and put in the work to get the results you truly desire.
