In order to visit the Monastery, we left the caravan and walked through a difficult terrain. The view we saw fascinated us greatly. Vazelon Monastery is a historical monastery located in Maçka district of Trabzon province of Turkey. It is located in the Eastern Black Sea Region and is located in an area famous for its natural beauty. Vazelon Monastery was built during the Byzantine Empire and is estimated to have been built between 270317. This monastery was one of the important centers of Orthodox Christianity at that time and, like the monasteries in the surrounding region, offered educational and health services as well as religious and cultural activities.
