A followup to the last video. At night is when Calvin has one job. He has to make sure that I get up to feed him at the normal time. As a part of our evening routine, once the water is put down, Calvin's job is to open the door to where his "crunchies" (hard food) is.

Calvin is a snacker and when he was around 3 years old, his doctor wanted him to only eat wet food. At that time, Calvin wouldn't even touch the wet food. Needless to say there were some difficult days in our house as we transitioned him to eating wet food for most of the day. We made the decision to allow him a minimal amount of crunchies a day.

So it is Calvin's benefit to help get his crunchies which is why he will obey the command "open". In this video I do quickly say "open". Normally I will make him wait for the command before opening. Calvin gets impatient with the process.
