This video aims to bring the poem "Caged Bird" of Maya Angelou, to life. Maya Angelou was an American writer, poet, and civil rights activist. She was born on April 4, 1928 and died on May 28, 2014.

We have carefully selected this poem from the other poems Maya Angelou has written.

"Caged Bird" is a poem that explores themes of oppression, freedom, and the power of the human spirit. The poem compares the experiences of a free bird and a caged bird, using vivid imagery and metaphor to convey their vastly different worlds.

The poem in this video is narrated by Shane Morris (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can. It took us months of learning before we were able to edit the voice like this.

We believe that there is wisdom in these historic texts. We are very hesitant in creating video's with different moving backgrounds, because we believe it might contradict the wisdom that is displayed in the text. We hope you appreciate the effort!
