Travels in India, London & the UK

✓ On our annual "Pilgrimage" to the Alchemy festival you know that we quite rightly have to visit The Curry Cook House" guys to get our "Pakora Fix". All the more better because can you believe that these guys serve up the delicious freshly made Pakoras (Bhajias) with three sauces for just a £1.00.

The "Pakwan" / "The Curry Cook House" team were serving up at the annual 10 day Alchemy Festival and as you know, we love places like this, a place which offers a little taste of India, but..........right here in the heart of "proper London".

Also worth looking out for is their Pakora Naan Bread wrap, which is filled with a portion of the pakoras, fresh salad, a homemade "Slaw" & then topped with a generous squeeze from a choice of their homemade sauces namely: Mint yoghurt, Mint mango chilli & Sweet mango.

There's no secret to the pakora recipe ingredients because it was stated on the menu board as follows:
* Aubergine.
* Spinach.
* Potatoes.
* Onion.
* Coriander.
* Coriander seeds.
with a
* Gram flour batter.

The recipe ingredients for the Slaw consists of:
* Cabbage,
* Red Onion,
* Carrot,
* Cranberries,
* Olive Oil
and
* Honey.

On the day they were also sering up Malai Chicken & Lamb Kebab wraps as well.

A special thank you to Zulf and all of the Pakwan team who welcomed us and graciously allowed us a privileged glimpse into their street kitchen to do the videoing.

They trade at various locations, so if you're wanting to catch up with them then you can send them a message via their various social media pages:

Its worth mentioning that the Naan breads used are handmade by the "legendary Ararat bread team":    • Indian Street Food: fresh Garlic & Ch...
