Roy says this is one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever made..I ate some of the sauce on my pasta and it was wonderful..If you like shrimp, please, please give this a try..low carb, no gluten, no sugar
Recipe
1 1/2 2 pounds shrimp..peeled and deveined
Seasoning for shrimp..garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, cumin, Italian seasoning..to your taste
1 stick butter
12 tablespoons capers
1 diced shallot..I used 1/3 cup red onion
1 lemon, zest and juice
1 cup white wine, or chicken broth
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons garlic
Season your shrimp..cook shrimp in a skillet with 1 tablespoon butter and 3 tablespoons oil on each side 23 minutes on each side..
Remove from skillet..add butter, shallots, and capers, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice..cook about 2 minutes..add chicken stock to deglaze pan..bring to a simmer for about 57 minutes..
Add shrimp back in and cook 2 minutes
Serve with pasta, rice, potatoes,garlic bread..
