In the hilly regions of the Balkan Peninsula, the Busha cattle, known for their diminutive size and dark color, have survived for millennia.
Herbivores graze on lowgrowing plants like grasses or multicellular creatures like algae. Grazers range from hippopotamuses to snails. Grazing is a feeding method used by many species. Grazing tactics include graminivore (eating grasses), coprophagy (reingesting partially digested pellets), pseudo ruminant (multichambered stomach but no cudchewing), and grazing on sea algae.

Grazing can disperse nutrients, maintain grasslands open, or favor one species.
