A worker of black bumblebee (Bombus ignitus, family Apidae) visiting darkred flowers of common hollyhock (Althaea rosea, family Malvaceae) in the backyard for nectar and pollen. She ignored the pink flowers of hollyhock somehow. As you can see, her corbiculae on her hindlegs were loaded with white pollen. Captured in the sunny earlyafternoon (around 12:50 PM) of midJuly 2023 in Japan.
