Called the “silent watchdog,” this breed is nonetheless so mellow that they make great apartment dogs. They have short, easycare coats, but beware: These dogs are droolers. If you can get past a little slobber, you’ll find a big, protective companion who will be happy to join you on adventures, so long as you save a spot on the couch for them afterward.
