I am building the best dog house in the world for about $20 total in cost. We had to purchase 2x4 lumber but the rest we had on hand. Our dog will have a 2x4 framed, insulated house with radiant foil and a heater. It is literally better than our own home.

I had to purchase some lumber the other day but I got it at a deep discount because it was not stickered and it got wet. Very wet. There was nothing wrong with it but some discoloration from being so wet and not stickered.

I took the lumber home and picked out the dry ones that were on top for this build.

The rest of the materials we already had on hand on the property.

I build it to look like a cozy wood cabin with 1 inch wood siding and roofing.

Watch for the second part insulating and installing paneling and metal roofing on our dog house.
