Occasionally an outdoor RBS cabinet won't be able to keep warm enough with it's own heat load and can go in to low temp alarm. Using a space heater can help prevent this but it doesn't give you the ability to set the exact temperature for it to shut off. By using a thermostat wired to a receptacle you can set the temperature you would like the heater to turn off at.
