In this video I’m starting the process of tearing down my old privacy fence and starting to build a board on board cedar fence in it’s place. I have metal poles already on my existing fence so the first thing I had to do was extend the metal poles the entire height of the fence so the board on board fence will have the support it needs. I used the Lincoln Electric Mig 210 MP welder to weld the pole extensions on. Afterwards I demoed the old fence then started attaching the cedar stringers. This is a huge job so I had to split it into multiple videos. Check out part two for installing the top cap and trim, the board on board pickets, and the boxes around the posts!
