Broad Vs Niche Kindle Keywords: Some just don't make money!

Thanks to our data collection system in Publisher, we discovered that there are certain kindle keywords that while they tend to get more searches, they don't equate to more sales.

After analyzing the data, we found a correlation between broad vs niche keywords, in that the more niche and descriptive a search term is in Amazon, the more chance that the search term will end in a sale. For example, if someone types in "Fantasy Book," what are the chances that Amazon actually shows the shopper the exact type of book they are looking for. Instead, the shopper will add more to their origin search term, describing the book more and more until they finally see what they are looking for.

It's because of this, that authors should really think about niching their keywords down and choose those that actually describe their book, rather than generally describing it.
