Pioneering Engage with China Scholars have been given a lifechanging opportunity to study in Changzhou, China, for two years to do their Alevels at an international boarding school. Discover how their lives have been dramatically enriched through this experience living and studying alongside their Chinese peer group, developing skills in sports, music, debating and the mandarin language, as well as embracing the Chinese culture and enjoying cultural visits to famous places like Shanghai, Beijing and Hangzhou.

This scholarship is the brainchild of Engage with China and Wycombe Abbey Schools in China and was established in the summer 2023. The vision is to build a cultural and educational bridge between China and the UK and to develop greater mutual understanding and opportunities. The current cohort consists of 10 students. In the Autumn 2024, another 30 scholars will move to Wycombe Abbey Schools in China as the scholarship programme expands.
