Smoothie & Milkshake are both British Longhair cats. This breed is a mix between British Shorthair and Persian cats. Actually, at first these cats were seen as mistakes. Fortunately that's in the past, and in more and more countries the British Longhair is an officially recognized breed.

British Longhairs are medium sized semilonghair cats with a thick coat and calm character. They're quite curious and appreciate the presence of their owner(s). They also adapt pretty easily to different circumstances and are good with other animals & little children.

In general British Longhair cats are not the most cuddly. A lot of them don't like to be held. But they absolutely show a lot of affection in other ways. They're always around when something's happening.

British Longhair cats sleep more than other breeds. Especially at an older age, they start to be less playful. Of course you should still motivate them to exercise. Because they get easily used to things, they also get easily bored with certain toys. So be sure to always provide them with new ways to play.

Smoothie and Milkshake are two British Longhair cats living in The Netherlands, respectively five years and three years old. Since she was called “The Most Photogenic Cat In The World”, Smoothie rose to fame in 2016. She’s the Queen of Fluff, and always cameraready. She judges, she disapproves & she plots (world domination) on a daily basis.

Smoothie's born on the 1st of April 2014, Milkshake is from the 20th of May 2016. Smoothie weighs 2.6 kg, while Milkshake is double her size (4.5kg). This is very common, because Smoothie's a female and Milkshake's a male.
