On April 22, 2024, Brightline West broke ground on their highspeed rail project that will link Las Vegas and Southern California. I was on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony which was held on the site of the future Las Vegas station. Dignitaries from the state and federal level were on hand for the event including U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, the Nevada Governor, Nevada's two senators, and five members of the U.S. House of Representatives from both California and Nevada.

While on site, I was also able to pull out the drone to take a look at the wider Las Vegas station site acting as the first edition of my Brightline West construction series.
