Founded over 80 years ago by Mr. Madhav Kamath, this bustling, culinary destination is now tended to by his grandsons. A stellar reputation built on the back of some solid culinary fare that’s light on the pocket and good old fashioned hospitality is what draws loyal customers here day after day. No matter which part of the world they may live in, logging a visit here is de rigueur for most Mangaloreans when they return home. I drop in impromptu for a chat with the amiable owners and also partake of some of the dishes that are a favourite with regulars at this iconic café.
