North Wales Coast Motive Power Day
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Rhyl Station taken on 20/05/1995 from off the station to the west about 200 yards. Later then from the platform east end. As the Crewe Rail Events Committee were hosting North Wales Coast Motive Power Day a grand selection of traction was captured on video along with the normal service trains along the north wales route. Locomotives involved in the event were 60085, 56071, 20075 + 20128, and 37066 + 37142. As you will see the trips were well attended and the weather was very kind albeit a little blustery at times. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
