Boom lift truck CRASHED into wall and gets stuck

Boom lift truck CRASHED into wall and gets stuck! This is the 4th or 5th construction fail video I've posted in the past 2 months alone. What the heck is going on with these telehandlers and boom lifts? This one was by far the hardest one for obvious reasons you'll see.

First, the room was HORRIBLE. The truck barely fit, and there was no room to utilize the boom. Luckily Alex was there in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, to take advantage of the 42' of boom. Fully extended, this truck is capable of lifting over 30,000lbs. For this job, Alex didn't need to lift the entire thing, just the front to slide it out the wall. Easier said than done, but with some courage and brute force, Big Flipper was able to get the job done.

But just because he got it out of the hole, the job wasn't done. The unit crashed in the first place due to the extreme slope and how slipper it was. So once he let go of tension, it wanted to go back down. Even worse, the wheels were stuck to the right. The controls to turn the wheels could only be accessed in the bucket, which would not work due to the unit being at an angle. They have fail safes, and the only way to turn them was to get it back out the driveway onto the street.

The video is a bit longer to show you guys how much labor and skill goes into these jobs. And in case you're one of those armchair quarterbacks that say "you don't need a rotator", I would like to see you try. The guy who called us is a great friend of the company who gives us tons of jobs that he can't handle with his truck. So shout out to Charlie at Charlie's Tow for calling in the big guns here.

This job was just a nightmare from start to finish, but I think Alex did as best of a job as he could. What do you guys think? And if you REALLY want to support your favorite tow channel, become a member here:    / @pepestowingservice
