Bombardier launched a new Global 8000 jet to connect cities 8,000 nautical miles apart at unprecedented speeds of Mach 0.94. The aircraft, which was unveiled in a highenergy event at the EBACE show in Geneva, is expected to be the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde. In fact, in flight tests it has broken the sound barrier, exceeding Mach 1.0.
