John Fogg is a former member of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels. Representing the Marine Corps, John joined the Blues in 1973 and flew the #3 plane in the left wing position. After the Blue Angels transitioned to the Douglas A4 Skyhawk in 1974, John moved to the slot position flying in the #4 jet.

John was born in Greensburg, Indiana and now makes his permanent home in Pensacola, Fl, where he was elected mayor in 1994 and served the public until his retirement in 2009.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Butler University, Fogg entered the Marine Corps in 1967 and was ordered to flight training in November of that year. After receiving his wings on 25 April 1969, he was assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251 for training in the F4B Phantom. Fogg deployed to Chu Lai, Vietnam, where he joined VMFA 115 and subsequently flew 200 missions and served as air liaison officer with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. For his efforts, he was awarded 14 Air Medals, the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat “V”, the Navy Unit Commendation, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry (civil action) and and the Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals.
