In St Jame's Park London a black swan pair had three cygnets in the summer 2019, Sadly only one survived but the one who did showed a will to battle against adversity. There was a challenge from a white swan but many different water birds live alongside each other on the lake in St Jame's Park. Although the swan pair have had cygnets hatch previous years this was the first year for a while that one has survived.
