Last week we featured our bazaar drive from Ouray to Montrose when we came across some dangerous motorcycle riders. We appreciate everyone who visits with us in the YouTube comment area. Thank you to Bill, Barry, D, Dan, Jeff and Gary! Last week    • Close Call! Motorcycles Zip By Our Bu...

WHAT IS THE BIG SECRET? WHY IS BLACK CANYON THE LEAST VISITED NATIONAL PARK IN AMERICA?
AND WHAT'S ALL THE SECRECY WITH THE CRYSTAL DAM? We know it's government owned, but wow...!
Maybe you can figure it out after watching this video.

The best way to see Black Canyon is to drive the 7 mile South Rim Road & stop at as many viewpoints as you have time for.
No hiking is needed to see the best views into the canyon.

If you only have about an hour... Visit overlooks at Gunnison Point (behind the visitor center, Pulpit Rock, Chasm View & Painted Wall View. (There are 10 overlooks in all.)

If you have 3 hours or more, do what's listed above, plus a hike on the Rim Rock Trail, which can be made into a longer loop with the Uplands Trail...or instead of a hike, attend a ranger program & visit additional viewpoints.

RV Restrictions: Parking is limited. The best turnaround for RVs and longer vehicles on the scenic drive is Sunset Point. Vehicles over 22 feet are prohibited on the East Portal Road.

Watch and learn! (I was a teacher you know! lol)
