Black Beauty came to Horse Plus Humane Society through our October BuyOut program in 2023. The goal of this project is to intercept as many equines as possible from the auction and slaughter pipeline. Luckily, Black Beauty became one of those horses. His handsome physical features suggested Friesian characteristics, however, his DNA test results revealed AkhalTeke, Caspian, and Lipizzaner in his bloodline. What a rarity!
