Mideast regional series returned to Bingham Model Raceway for round 2 of the 4wd 2024 series.

The weather had been the best it could be all weekend and the 4wd round on the Sunday was no exception! Practice started off with an electrical gremlin in my Team Associated B74.2 which later turned out to you're truly plugging the ESC into channel 4 instead of channel 2. I ran practice 1 with the B74 OG so I didn't miss out on learning the track. The B74.2 was back out in practice 2 and running well. I was in the mix over a single lap, but little wobbles were costing me dearly!

Into qualifying and I fitted the centre diff instead of the decoupled slipper. This calmed the car down a lot over the bumps and ironed out those moments that were previously catching me out.

I went into round 4 of qualifying tied on 19 points with a 12 and a 9, but the other 2 racers carried a 6 meaning I really needed to pull my finger out now. I managed to keep it clean and aside from becoming another car's crash the run was clean and quick. I went 5th in round. It could have so easily been 2nd.

To my surprise I'd managed to take the last place in the A final.

The final started well and I chased down the tail of the train running between 8th and 10th until I managed to get a break and finished up 8th. A rather nice overtake was captured over the table top too!
