We got a snow storm the first part of May and our power was out for almost 3 days. We had a generator but it was only for the water, heat and a couple plugs. Wasn’t thinking our power would be out so long so we lost some meat and chicken and fruits & veggies.

This haul was for toiletries, our kids program end of the year party snd Mother’s Day meal shopping.

We are doing really good making sure to eat what we have first. When we first started doing this it was hard to not run to the store so much but then as time went on it’s so much easier. Now my family has to tell me “mom we have no food!”

Our next haul will be cheaper because we don’t need toiletries for awhile
