In this video I show how a piece of marketing material related to sales of Indexed Universal Life insurance ("IUL") has both a) incorrect data and b) misleading assumptions. Additionally, I show how the analysis would have looked if correct data and more realistic assumptions were instead used.

Buyer beware when presented with any sort of information that makes an insurance policy look too good to be true. While the product itself may not necessarily be bad, there is quite likely more to the story than what's being shown in the sales material. Products themselves are rarely bad. Instead, it's how the products are sold and/or used that can be troublesome.
