Finding a rattle on your car used to be a big problem. Somebody showed me this technique and I’ve been using it ever cents. When you are driving and you hear a rattle when you hit something you know the rattles there but when you bring it in the garage how do you replicate the rattle. Well here’s a nice easy technique. Jack up the car so the suspension is floating free then to emulate the bump in the road take a sledgehammer and hit the tire. This will make The Rattle reappear. Now it’s a process of illumination have somebody hit the wheel while you go underneath the car and put your hand on each car part until the rattle stops. It’s amazing how well this works.
