This week we're camping at the best RV park in Durango: the La Plata County Fairgrounds. The location of these fairgrounds is the best we've ever experienced it's right downtown Durango, within walking distance of many things to do, and located right along the Animas River Trail as well.

If you're looking to book a stay at the La Plata County Fairgrounds RV spots you'll need to call ahead to make a reservation. Please note there are only 6 RV parking spots for rent. They have water and electric hookups only. The nearest dump station is the Speedway on the 160 West of downtown Durango. The rodeo takes place every Wednesday night in the Summer and there is no RV parking allowed on the night of the rodeo. So the maximum stay is 6 nights.
