ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Natural Supplements For Dogs
Free radicals cause oxidative stress and damage cells, protein and the DNA. The antioxidants will mop up the free radicals, keeping your dogs body healthier.

Three food based antioxidants that benefit your dogs immune system, boost digestive health, support joint health and stop free radicals.

Number 1 is Astaxanthin which is a carotenoid that comes from microalgae and what gives salmon and flamingoes their pink color when they eat it.

Astaxanthin reduces joint inflammation, protects the body from free radical damage, boosts the immune system and supplies beneficial nutrients.

Make sure to get natural astaxanthin made from krill or microalgae and follow the label feeding directions.

Number 2 is green lipped mussels. The green lipped muscle or GLM comes from the waters around New Zealand and has been is use as a remedy by the Maoris for hundreds of years. GLM has only recently become popular in the west due to its highly beneficial antiinflammatory properties from tests on dogs.

Half of all dogs over the age of eight start to develop arthritis in their joints, particularly the elbows, knees and hips. Traditional drugs are expensive and lead to distressing side effects, creating new problems in other parts of the body. GLM as a natural food source brings welcome relief.

GLM can be obtained as an extract in powdered form. The best brand will have been processed without heat extraction for better quality nutrients.

A general rule of thumb is 150mg of powdered extract per 10lbs of your dogs lean body weight per day.

If you don't see improvement after one month of use, you'll need to up the amount by 25%. As your dogs condition improves, you can lower the dose to the starting amount.

Number 3 is phytoplankton. Phytoplankton are microscopic plants that live and feed all life in the ocean. Recent studies have concluded that phytoplankton have become important as a source of nutrition with many health benefits.

Phytoplankton is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are molecules that prevent cell damage from free radicals that accumulate in the body. They assist in cancer prevention, lowering the incidence of heart disease, improving eye health, and working to solve immune system problems. Phytoplankton also works as an antiaging nutrient.

Dogs with a leaky gut, IBD, bad gas, diarrhea issues, bowel problems and EPI will find great relief as these nanoparticle sized marine organisms get directly to where they need to go, into the bodies mucus membranes avoiding the problems these health issues have with digesting nutrients from food.

Make sure to choose a phytoplankton that's sustainably grown, free of contaminants such as heavy metals and is non GMO with no fillers.

For dosage size, feed your dog a 1/16 teaspoon a day for all sizes of dog.
