Tech Spurt

Reviewing the best midrange Android smartphones as we hit 2024, boasting my favourite camera tech, top gaming performance and excellent specs to rival flagship phones. For a budget of around £300£600 in the UK you can grab the Pixel 7a, Samsung's Galaxy A54 5G, the Xiaomi 13T and other midrange marvels. If you can't afford the absolute best, here's the top options for a cheaper asking price.

If you're after an even cheaper handset, check out my reviews and roundups of the greatest Android smartphones under £300 and £200.

Manufacturers like Google, Nothing, Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme all offer a selection of compelling smartphones at a midrange asking price. The Pixel 7a is still the best around for camera performance but rivals like the OnePlus Nord 3 and Samsung's Galaxy A54 5G aren't far behind. The Nothing Phone 1 & 2 offer unique features like that Glyph lighting, plus premium bits such as wireless charging.

Meanwhile the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is a bit of a mouthful but also a great midrange smartphone, boasting impressive specs for a budgetfriendly cost. That one should be launching globally soon. Don't sleep on the brilliant Xiaomi 13T for a bit more cash, while that Poco F5 Pro is one of my favourite midrange phones for gaming.

So many to consider, so which is your personal favourite midrange mobile?
