Here’s the story behind the most EPIC proposal ever, & it was OURS!
The last 3.5 years we spent nearly 5630 miles/9061km apart in a long distance relationship Los Angeles, CA & Hamburg, Germany, meeting each other in different parts of the world each year. But no matter where we were, our hearts were forever linked as one. We overcame the craziest of obstacles, but against all odds we are here today celebrating our beautiful engagement! We hope you enjoy watching one of the happiest days of our lives!!!!

“In the years we’ve dated, we had never been to the movie theater together!! This entire day I thought we were going to watch the 20th year anniversary of the movie “Titanic”. I was stalling, asking to stop for tea on the way when the entire time Emill was anxious to get me to the theater on time!!! Right before what I thought was going to be the start of the movie, Emill left for the bathroom and I was left wondering what this beautiful story was playing on the screen with the cutest old man! Haha, within a few seconds I realized that that beautiful story on the screen was the story of our lives and soon my FIANCÈ walked in & I was left speechless!!! Of course I said YES!!!

To my beautiful wife! It feels like yesterday when you stepped into my life, and made me fall in love with you. Joined at the hip, we knew it couldn’t just be a summer love. Just as the saying goes “when it's time for souls to meet, there's nothing on earth that can prevent them from meeting, no matter where each may be located”, and so our journey began. We overcame the distance by love and patience and we knew early on that nothing is impossible. For every hardship we had an answer and when it came time to getting married, nothing went by plan, but with a beautiful woman like you by my side, we made it happen. Fifty years have gone by since and I wanted to take my time to tell you what you mean to me every day, every minute and every second, and how lucky I am to call the most beautiful soul in the universe my wife. You are the best thing that happened to me and for that I want to say thank you. Thank you for being a beautiful wife and a great mother to our four children. Thank you for not giving up on us and for supporting me through all these years. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made, for being the best travel companion and for putting up with me for all this time. Thank you for fighting through all the hardships, thank you for all the motivation, inspiration and most importantly for all the love you have given me. And that after fifty years of marriage I can wake up every morning and say “I don't need anything else in my life, except to go back in time to the day I asked you to grow old with me, and relive these fifty years with you all over again“.
