Clawed is an adult male GreyHeaded FlyingFox who was dropped off to me for assessment. He was found on the ground in a courtyard.
Initially, like so many newly rescued batties, he was cranky as, and wanted to turn me into confetti, but this was mostly cranky and not a pain response.
I decided to occupy his pointy bits with a grape or two to make friends and be able to have a look at him. Thus began a half hour odyssey with him as he decided to go for the record of how many grapes can be fitted into a batty mouth at any one time. It was the best batty grape face I have ever seen.
I started with one, which was snatched and attacked angrily, and proceeded until he was taking grapes happily and stuffing them into his mouth.
I'm not going to tell you how many grapes he actually fitted in, because I want you to find out for yourself, but it was a LOT. I was extremely surprised. I spent half an hour watching him stuff his face, awaiting the inevitable spat. It fascinated me so much I had to watch the entire process. I managed to cull the footage from half an hour down to 20 minutes eventually, but if you can't be bothered watching it all, skip forward until you can see the text on the screen as I count up the number of grapes.

He fitted some many into his mouth that his stuffed cheeks dragged his eyelids down so you could see the whites of his eyes.

This boy was fine, with just a bump on his head; he went back to his rescuer the next day, and as far as I know, he's fine in care and doing well a week later.
