Flavoured with Chilis, aromatic Ajwain Seed, and Coriander. They are crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Perfect with a hot cup of coffee or tea! And oh so easy to make :D

INGREDIENTS

1 cup, Chickpea Flour (Besan/Gram Flour)
1 small Onion, finely chopped
2 Thai Green Chillis, finely chopped
1 small Plum Tomato, seeded and chopped
3 tbsp, fresh chopped Coriander
1/4 tsp, Cayenne Chilli Powder
1/4 tsp, Turmeric
1/2 tsp, Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
1/2 tsp Salt
2/3 cup, Water
Canola oil for frying

METHOD

In a bowl combine Chickpea Flour, Onion, Green Chillis, Tomatoes, Coriander, Spices, and Salt. Mix so that all vegetables are well coated.

Slowly stream in water, constantly stirring, until a loose batter forms.

Heat a nonstick frying pan on mediumlow heat and slightly grease with Canola Oil. Add batter to centre of pan, and spread out using a ladle to form a circle. Drizzle 2 tsp of oil around the edges of the Chilla. Cook until the bottom has browned and the top has set.

Flip over, and cook until the other side becomes slightly golden.

Remove from pan, and serve. Enjoy! :)
