Appearing in Variety‘s “Directors on Directors” conversation series, Ben Affleck and David Fincher recently held a virtual reunion to discuss bringing the story of famed screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz to screen. Affleck teased Fincher about the many on set takes characteristic of his filmmaking process, ultimately expressing appreciation for the practice.
