BEHOLD GOD'S GLORY | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (December 25, 2022)

“[T]he Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” – The Gospel proclaims on the Nativity of the Lord.

The term “the Word” is used in the scriptures for the Second Person of the Trinity, who became human in our Lord Jesus. The only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary as foretold by the prophets, lived with God’s people—proclaiming the good news of salvation, showing the glory of God through healing the sick and liberating us from sin through his cross.

Friends, as we celebrate Christmas Day, may we gratefully remember it is God himself who visited and lived with his people Emmanuel: God with us. Let us behold him.
