A guide to the most common mistakes people make when learning to fly the big jets in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and how to avoid then. Ever had the autopilot go nuts just after takeoff? Feel like the plan just goes out of control, and you can't do anything to stop it?

Most of the time it's because you were either not watching, not predicting what you needed to do next, or you were just too slow in reacting to what was happening which then caused another situation to develop, and another, and another.

In this video I go through some common strategies to help you out the most important of which are (a) make sure you can fly a GA aircraft first, (b) know where the important flight controls are, and (c) be able to get to the important controls quickly.

Lastly, and I will repeat this until the cows come home practice, practice, practice, practice, practice. Don't just practice a perfect flight either practice different situations being thrown at you. Imagine the approach mode button didn't engage it's not so much "why didn't it engage" it's "what are you going to do right now?"...
