Beach Painting Club was conceived by artists and brothers Scott and Tyson Reeder with the mission of bringing painters and their contemporaries together to generate new works en plein air. The first edition of Beach Painting Club was held at NADA Miami Beach 2012. The paintings rom that edition were sold the following day, with proceeds ($5K) benefitting the ADAA Sandy Relief Fund.

Earlier this summer two editions of Beach Painting Club were realized; the Rockaways in July and the Hamptons in August. The Silent Auction will benefit smallwater (www.smallwater.org), a grassroots organization comprised of a core group of Rockaway residents deeply invested in rebuilding a sustainable community. In July, smallwater hosted the artists at their community center and on the beach nearby for the Rockaways edition. Works generated from that day, together with those generated at the Hamptons edition held at an artistinresidence program at the former studio of Elaine de Kooning, will support smallwater and their activities in response to the immediate needs of the community.

Participating artists include: Michael Bauer, Gina Beavers, Joe Bradley, Melissa Brown, Cynthia Daignault, Sarah Greenberger Rafferty, Daniel Heidkamp, Laura Owens, Scott Reeder, and Tyson Reeder among others.
