In this Dingers to Diamond series we take a deep dive into reviving this very old and tired Porsche 924, pulled from the depths of a barn by the lovely chaps at Type2 Detectives.
In this deep clean we tackle the dirt, remove the mould and brighten the paintwork as well as we can. Sadly some of it on the front end is too far gone and needs some paint.
Starting off we hit the bodywork with all of our detergents to really strip back to paint. We even removed some oxidised paint at the prewash stage. (that's how bad it was!!!)
Next up was decontamination, the car must have been cleaned before going into storage as there wasn't anywhere near as much tar as anticipated.
Pulling the car into the studio we then began polishing and brightening the paintwork. Finishing off with some wax to lock in our hard work. Finishing touches and voilà.
