This is the most popular place where the pilgrims and Christians who live in Israel are baptized.
Jesus Christ before He started His ministry ,He was baptized by John The Baptist here at River Jordan as recorded in the book of Mark 1: 9 11
Jordan River starts at Mount Hermon {Northern Israel} flowing into the Sea of Galilee and out to the Dead Sea.
