Welcome to Schony747 trains on a Wednesday from Ballarat and the still to be repaired Ballarat Railway Station crossing gates.


May 30th 2020 a V/Line Vlocity DMU Passenger Train smashed the historic railway gates in Lydiard St at the Ballarat Railway Station. Nearly 12 months on, the gates are still closed with no sign of repair until the authorities work out who will pay for the repairs and when the repairs will actually take place. In the meantime, Lydiard St is still blocked at the Ballarat Railway Station and the local residents still have to divert around the crash site.


The first photos in the video were photographed on the night the accident have been contributed by Youtube Channel Mixed Gauge Videos    / dc4916productions   The rest of the video shows the gates in the current state and train movements through the crossing. I filmed at night as there is less traffic and road noise.
