Balayage, or handpainted highlighting, is the holy grail of bleaching your hair. It looks natural and grows out nicely. I've been highlighting my hair at home and clients at the salon using the balayage technique for nearly 8 years. In all that time, there's one thing I've learned: you shouldn't try this at home—def not recommended. Bleach is very dangerous and can cause irreversible damage. I'm a professional, and things didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted But I still keep doing it. And honestly, by the end, it turned out ok. Let me know what you think in the comments.
