The twin Control Moment Gyroscopes (CMGs) located at the base of the vehicle are the foundation of the AEV’s technical innovations. These massive gyroscopes are typically used for space satellite positioning we’ve brought this technology down to earth, creating a selfbalancing, gravity defying vehicle.

Not only do the CMGs make the Dynamic Balance System (DBS) possible, they enable a safer, lighter, lower cost vehicle that requires less parts, less maintenance, less emissions to manufacture and operate, and less battery to operate.

Roll moments from a side impact are naturally transferred to the gyros, not the occupants, ensuring a 4th level of production unmatched by any other vehicle on the market.
