Baja California is considered an Overlanding mecca, and for good reason. Wide open deserts, thousands of accessible, remote beaches, and endless wild camping and 4x4 routes. I spent 1 full month driving through Baja, from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific side and back, from the Northern border to the Southern tip.

However, I think the change in topography surprised me the most. A seemingly endless rocky desert that meets the ocean, turns to green mountains, flat plains, and dunes that run into the sea.

It's been 8 months since the start of this trip. And as we plan to send the truck over to Colombia to start the next chapter, the South American journey, I find myself missing Baja and the freedom it offered more and more.
