Backing Up Fail $225,000 Mercedes Sprinter Almost Fell Off Trailer! On paper, this seemed like a ridiculously easy job. First of all, why couldn't the driver just back it up straight? Good question, and I agree. But this group did not have a driver to do it right the first time and panicked, so they called a tow company. They showed up and tried to do it, but almost tipped it over. Coupled with the extremely high price tag on this unit, they said "call Pepe's" which I'm glad they did.

Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, is one of the most powerful in the state of California and can do some incredibly heavy lifts. But it can also do relatively light jobs like this! Alex went to the hitch behind the frame, with both lines for a truly equal lift. Our famous Bailey's slings, in the compact version, were small enough to fit through the slots yet strong enough for the lift. Once pressure was applied, it was just a matter of very slowly getting enough lift to get it up, then bring it a couple of feet over.

After the truck was back onto the ramp and straight, they were scared to drive it off so Alex offered. I mean if you can drive a 75ton rotator, what's a sprinter van to you?
