This week held a few firsts for baby Solomon.
I have found him very aware of what is being said to him. His actions follow through on what I say to him. When he wants to anyway, in typical young child fashion, there are plenty of times he shows that he understands perfectly what I am asking, but he doesn't want to, so does something like run away and laugh. For example, when it's nap time... But other times he has helped to put away toys when asked and done things like go to daddy to get hugs before bed.
This week he also climbed onto the little rocking horse and played on it all by himself. The older children have mostly forgotten that toy. So fun to watch a fresh perspective on an almost forgotten entertainment.
Judea made sure to make a cameo with his favorite toy dog "Spot". The older boys have also been working on learning their alphabet. You might appreciate their spontaneous rendition of the ABC song on one of our walks this week.
