While on patrol Naude, Denzil and Antoine saw a pup with a deep cut around his neck. Denzil and Antoine Took off running before Naude could even stop the car!
Denzil managed to catch him by hand and the activists got to work. The pup had a single rubber ring around his neck, and it was cutting deep into his skin. The material is something they have encountered a few times in the last 2 months. It's from a heat exchanger, which is used in cooling systems on big ships. We suspect a large batch of this must have been dumped or lost accidentally overboard somewhere quite recently, as this type of entanglement has not been encountered at all in the last 8 years.
