New York’s JFK Airport if a popular airport for both tourists and locals to fly in and out of New York City. Public transit is pretty easy to use at JFK but most options require using the AirTrain which charges at the the stations where the NYC subway and Long Island Rail Road (LIRRR) are located. As of March 1, 2022, the new AirTrain fare went up to $8.00 — which is pretty steep considering that it was only $5 four years ago. But did you know there are ways to get around paying this full price? There are two options and in this video we will talk about both: (1) getting the 10trip AirTrain MetroCard and (2) taking the bus.
