It was sort of like waking up to the consequences of some poor, alcoholinduced decision of the previous evening. This is where I come in to the story of the 'Silver Pompadour'.
Oct. 31, 2015. Halloween. Lured by a craigslist ad featuring an odd looking creature of the past and a seemingly motivated seller, we headed east. By the time we arrived, daylight was fading fast but we gave this monster a quick once over and the seller made an offer I couldn't refuse. Wobbling on its stands, it resembled some longlegged elephant from a Dali painting. The laws of physics were broken numerous times while we muscled the camper on to the truck. Oddly enough, the 2 1/2 hour ride home was uneventful.
Then morning came. What started as a bad hair day for the Dodge quickly escalated to a major consumption of my time and resources for the next several months.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
